Henrico now averaging 81 new COVID cases per day

Henrico reported a total of 362 new COVID-19 cases during the five days from Thanksgiving to Monday, keeping the average number of new cases during the past 7 days in roughly the same range it’s been for the past week, at 81. The county also witnessed 12 new virus-related hospitalizations and four new deaths attributed to COVID during the same timeframe.
Henrico’s 7-day positivity percentage has remained relatively steady for the most recent week or so on record. It now stands at 5.5% as of Nov. 26. The county is averaging just more than 1,300 new testing encounters each day during the most recent 7-day period.
