Despite a slight spike during the weekend, new COVID-19 cases have remained relatively low in Henrico County, with just 33 new cases reported on Monday, according to the Virginia Department of Health. The seven-day moving average reached 53 new daily cases in the county.

There were no new hospitalizations related to the virus in the county Monday, but there was one new death, according to VDH data. Six new deaths were reported this weekend.

Henrico County ranks fourth in the state among health districts for the number of PCR tests and rapid antigen tests administered, according to VDH data. While the average positivity rate among PCR tests in the county has leveled off at about 5.5 percent, the rate among rapid tests has increased to an average of 7.5 as of March 11. There is an intentional lag in data regarding testing encounters so that the VDH can include as much information as possible.

In the state of Virginia, there have been 2,724 reported outbreaks across all health districts, according to the VDH, and 177 of those come out of Henrico County. More than 3,450 cases of the virus in the county have been associated with these outbreaks. Additionally, 1,132 Henrico healthcare workers have contracted the virus.

More than 100,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Henrico County, according to the VDH. More than 70,000 Henricoans have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and just more than 36,000 have received both doses necessary for full inoculation.

As of March 11, almost 53,000 doses of the vaccine are being administered each day, according to VDH data. More than 20 percent of Virginians have received at least one dose of the vaccine, with a total of 2.74. million doses administered statewide so far.
