Henrico County reported 136 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, up from Wednesday’s total of 102, and is now averaging 146 new cases each day during the past seven days, according to the Virginia Department of Health.

The county also experienced seven new virus-related hospitalizations Thursday (its most on a single day since Jan. 28, when there were 11) but no new deaths.

The county’s seven-day positivity percentage among PCR testing encounters continued to trend slightly downward, dipping to 9.3% as of Feb. 7, while the rate for rapid testing encounters as of the same date fell to 8.3%.

As of Feb. 7, Henrico was averaging just shy of 2,000 PCR and rapid tests per day as of Feb. 7 – 1,305 daily PCR tests (down from a peak of 1,784 per day Jan. 15) and 632 rapid testing encounters per day (down from its peak of 826 Jan. 9.)

Nearly 48,000 county residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and more than 9,100 are now fully inoculated, according to the VDH.
