Henrico native Nick Biddison was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball Draft July 18 (pick No. 135 overall).
Biddison, who attended Holladay Elementary School in Lakeside and later played for the Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association before attending St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, played collegiately at Virginia Tech. He primarily played second base and outfield for the Hokies, who advanced to host a super-regional series in the NCAA baseball tournament earlier this year.
The approximate signing value of a player selected at Biddison’s spot is $435,000, according to MLB. Biddison will turn 22 July 30.
