A 73-year-old Henrico man has died from injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle crash involving a three-wheeled moped on Halloween, according to Henrico Police.
Walter Allen Miller, the driver of the moped, was transported to a local hospital with what were considered non-life-threatening injuries after the crash that occurred Thursday, Oct. 31, at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Dill Road and Vawter Avenue in the Fairfield District. He later succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 3.
According to Henrico Police, officers responded to the crash site to find both vehicles in the eastbound lanes of Dill Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the sedan hit the rear end of the moped while both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Dill Road. Police said speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
