Henrico man charged in now-fatal January crash

A Henrico County man faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence and underage possession of alcohol stemming from a Jan. 1 crash that led to the death of a passenger in the car he was driving.
Nineteen-year-old Jorge Mario Sis Morente was driving a Toyota Corolla at about 6:33 p.m. in the area of Arcadia Street and Glenside Drive, a witness told Henrico Police, when he tried to turn left onto Glenside, pulling in front of a BMW 535i that was traveling north on that road. The two cars collided, seriously injuring two males in the Toyota. One, Joshue Lopez Morales, died from his injuries last month.
On March 3, police obtained warrants against Morente, on the three charges related to the crash.
The male driver of the BMW was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
