Henrico macaw is finalist in national wacky pet name contest

"Magic Nugget" is among the 30 finalists in Nationwide Insurance's annual Wacky Pet Names contest, which is designed to celebrate the most clever and creative names among pets recently insured by the agency. Voting ends April 12.
Magic Nugget loves to talk and sing, according to his owner, Henrico citizen Ally S.
“I wanted him to be a magic bird and could not figure out what to name him,” she said. “He was a magical bird, and I fell in love. So, I [decided] his name is going to be Magic Nugget.”
The bird doesn't like to play with toys, Ally said, but he does enjoy playing with the TV remote and electronic chargers.
