Henrico County has established an outreach call center for older residents as part of its EngAGE program through its department of aging services. It's designed to offer friendly telephone contact for seniors who feel socially isolated.
Participants may dial 804-501-5454, and once enrolled they'll receive a 5-10 minute phone from a call center staff member daily, every other day or weekly to check-in and provide information on community resources that might help.
If you have a family member, friend or neighbor who might benefit from the program, you're also invited to call the number to provide that person's information.
