The Henrico Humane Society will host its 23rd annual Pet Expo on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Richmond Raceway Complex. The family-friendly event will feature a pet parade, puppy and Corgi races, dog contests, a lure course, dog adoptions, and a silent auction.

The Pet Expo helps provides funds that allow the organization to continue rescuing animals and providing them with the necessary medical care and support before they are able to be adopted, said Melissa Golden, event organizer and Henrico Humane Society vice president.

A 50/50 raffle winner will also be announced at the Pet Expo, giving one winner the chance to walk away with $5,000. A preview of the silent auction items currently is available on the HHS website, with bidding starting on Thursday, Feb. 22.

Admission for the event is $8 online and $10 at the door, with $5 for children ages 6-12. Children under 6 and pets are free. All proceeds from the event will benefit HHS.
