Henrico hosting Dominion Energy Charity Classic

The PGA Tour Champions event, held at The Country Club of Virginia - James River course in Henrico's West End, features professional golfers 50 and older vying for a total purse of $2 million. The tournament continues through Sunday and is televised live on The Golf Channel.
A number of names familiar to golf fans – including John Daly, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Rocco Mediate, Retief Goosen, Corey Pavin, Vijay Singh and Mark O'Meara – are competing in the event.
Net proceeds of the tournament benefit veterans and other charitable causes. Henrico has been a sponsor of the tournament since its inception in 2016 and was extended last year for 10 more years. Tickets are $35 for Thursday and include a concert by Chase Rice at the Visit Henrico Fan Zone; $25 for Saturday; and $25 for Sunday. A ticket for the entire event is $70.
