Henrico Health District enters Phase 1C of COVID-19 vaccinations

The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts are entering Phase 1C of COVID-19 vaccinations early.

The RHHD Wednesday is emailing 7,500 people from the two localities who are eligible in Phase 1C and who have pre-registered for the vaccine, offering them the chance to schedule a vaccination time.

The districts had expected that they would not enter Phase 1C until sometime in early April, but this week received 10,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine – thousands more than it had anticipated – in addition to about 12,000 total first doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

The RHHD is continuing to provide opportunities for those who remain in phases 1A and 1B, as well.

Everyone in the state is expected to be eligible for a vaccination by May 1, the deadline established by President Joe Biden for all adults nationally to become eligible.
