Henrico Extension's summer camp accepting applications

The camp is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for children to learn, make friends, and discover the outdoors. Activities including swimming, archery, canoeing, basketball, volleyball, forestry, shooting education, campfires, crafts, marine science, skits, and more will be offered. The cost is $365 and includes meals and lodging for five days and four nights, as well as class materials and a camp t-shirt. Transportation is not provided but scholarship assistance may be available. Space is limited.

The Jamestown 4-H Educational Center will offer lodging and amenities including air-conditioned cabins and archery and rifle ranges. The center also has a swimming pool, a river pier, and an aquatics resource center.

The American Camp Association has accredited the Henrico County camp. Adult and teen counselors, as well as lifeguards, recreational leaders, a dietician, and a medical attendant will be supervising the camp.
