Henrico DMV location to open next week

A Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles location in Henrico Coutny will reopen June 8, the agency announced yesterday.
The North Henrico DMV at 9015 Brook Road in Glen Allen will become the first DMV in the county to reopen since the agency closed its locations because of the pandemic.
Five other locations statewide will reopen the same day, joining an initial wave of others that began reopening May 18.
The Brook Road location is now accepting appointments for services that can’t be completely online, by phone or through the mail. Customers may schedule appointments for as far into the future as one month.
A number of transactions – including obtaining an original driver’s license, ID card, original title, original vehicle registration, disabled parking permit or vital records – must be conducted in person.
Road testing for passenger vehicles and motorcycles is not yet being offered at the locations that are open or soon will be open, according to DMV officials.
