Henrico County offices, facilities to close Tuesday; courts to open on schedule

Expected inclement weather from Tropical Storm Isaias is causing Henrico County officials to close all general government offices and facilities Tuesday, Aug. 4. All county courts will open on schedule. All school facilities in the county also will be closed, although school system business may still be conducted through teleworking and other virtual arrangements.
Trash pickup also is canceled for Tuesday. Pickup will occur on a one-day delay during the week, weather permitting. The public-use areas at the Springfield Road and Charles City Road landfills also will be closed Tuesday.
Residents are encouraged to remain home if possible. To report road concerns, call the Henrico Department of Public Works at 727-8300. To report a downed electrical line, call Dominion Energy at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357).
