Henrico County reported 61 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, matching its average seven-day moving rate of new daily cases, according to the Virginia Department of Health. After the slight surge last week, cases are beginning to come back down.

During the weekend, there were were a total of four virus-related deaths and two hospitalizations in Henrico, according to VDH data.

The Henrico Health District reached 200 reported outbreaks on Monday. According to the VDH, the two only other health districts to reach 200 reported outbreaks are Fairfax and Richmond. In Henrico, 3,548 cases of the virus have been associated with its outbreaks.

As new cases begin to increase after last week's surge, the positivity rate among Henrico's PCR and antigen rapid tests began to decrease, according to VDH data.

As of April 8, PCR tests yielded an average positivity rate of 6.8 percent. Antigen rapid tests in the county produced an average positivity rate of 8.4 percent. Testing data intentionally lags behind a few days to include as much information as possible.

As of April 8, nearly 75,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are being administered every day in Virginia, according to the VDH. The majority of these vaccines come from Pfizer, with Moderna following closely behind. Vaccination data lags behind a few days to include as much information as possible.

In total, 4.77 million doses of the vaccine have been administered across Virginia —with 196,236 doses landing in Henrico, according to VDH data. Nearly 130,000 Henricoans have received at least one dose so far, and more than 77,000 residents are fully vaccinated.
