Henrico 4-H to offer 'Ready, Set, Camp!' workshop for first-time 4-H campers

Henrico County youth interested in attending Junior 4-H Camp for the first time this summer are invited to participate in a daylong workshop Tuesday, Feb. 18 to preview the camp, including team-building games, outdoor activities and campfire traditions.
The Ready, Set, Camp! workshop is designed for prospective campers who will be ages 9 to 13 as of Sept. 30 and will be held at the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, near Williamsburg.
The cost to attend is $50, which includes transportation via passenger van. Online registration for the workshop will be open through Friday, Feb. 7. The vans will depart from the Henrico County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive, shortly after 8 a.m. and return by 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 18 is a student holiday for Henrico County Public Schools.
After the workshop, participating families will receive a code that will provide a $50 discount toward registration for the 2025 Henrico/Richmond City Junior 4-H Camp, which will be held from July 28 through Aug. 1 at the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center. Participation in Junior 4-H Camp is optional and is not required for attendance at the workshop.
