HCPS horticulture programs to hold holiday plant sales

Horticulture and landscaping programs at the Advanced Career Education Center at Virginia Randolph and the Advanced Career Education Center at Hermitage will hold sales of student-grown plants in December.
The ACE Center at Virginia Randolph Holiday Sale will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 at the school’s campus, 2204 Mountain Road in Glen Allen. Students will be selling poinsettias (large for $8 and small for $4), wreaths from $15-25, and cyclamen and African violets for $4. Students in the school’s masonry program also will be selling concrete planters for $20.
Enter the greenhouses from the road on the western edge of campus. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

The ACE Center at Hermitage Holiday Plant Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9 at the school’s campus, 8301 Hungary Spring Road. Students will be selling foil-wrapped poinsettias for $8.50 (multiple colors are available) and fresh evergreen wreaths and centerpieces (starting at $15).
Because of construction, customers should enter the Hermitage High School campus from East Parham Road, using Hermitage High Boulevard, across from the Henrico County Western Government Center. Parking for the sale will be in the first lot on the right, behind the school.
