GRTC upgrades riders to new Transit Royale service

GRTC has upgraded all of its riders to Transit Royale, a new subscription service in transit. GRTC riders now have access to a free Royale subscription, which unlocks additional features, special GRTC branding, new customization options, and complete access to the app across the more than 300 cities supported worldwide.
As the update rolls out, riders will receive a message in the app informing them that GRTC is upgrading them to Transit Royale, and they will immediately be able to access the subscription’s additional features. GRTC joins systems across the country in gifting Royale to all its riders, with more agencies planning announcements in the coming months.
Transit Royale is designed to make transit a more predictable and reliable experience by helping connect riders to real-time information and providing an app experience that is free of privacy-invading advertising. With Royale, riders have access to power features such as customizable themes and leaderboards for users competing to help the most riders with Transit’s GO crowdsourcing feature.
