[maxgallery id="34589"]After attending Sedona Taphouse's Charity Steakout in February to support the Coal Pit Learning Center, members of the Greater Richmond Chorus (GRC) decided to continue their support with a supply drive for the Glen Allen preschool, which serves low-income families.

Basses Who Care, the charitable arm of the GRC, collected a truckload of art supplies, paper goods, toys and food, then decorated the truck and delivered supplies to the school April 30. A dozen members of the chorus also serenaded the students and sang some favorite children's songs with them.

The serenades turned out to be a timely warm-up for GRC's annual Mothers Day Weekend event, in which quartets will be visiting local moms to sing, deliver gourmet chocolates, and present cards; GRC will also sing "phone-a-grams" for out-of-town moms.
