GRASP provides $244,000 in scholarships to high school seniors

The Henrico students to receive scholarships are: Nekai Simon (ACE Center at Hermitage High School); Maya Carroll and Willow Nash (ACE Center at Highland Springs High School); Niesha Manjiyani, James Oh, Naiya Patel and Ke'Ari Taylor (Deep Run High School); Van Pham, Andy Quach and Monserrat Ruiz (Freeman High School); Susan Syed (Glen Allen High School); Huynh Pham and Marina Younan (Godwin High School); Paige Horton, Tan'yara Mayo and Jalia McGriff (Henrico High School); Haley Yarbrough (Henrico Virtual Academy); Carla Diaz, Delcid Gaby and Martinez Eric Shelton (Hermitage High School); Daesha Lyons (Highland Springs High School); Abel Alexander, Nguyen Pham, Jaelyn Torrez, Wynter Wright and Carlos Zambrano (Tucker High School); Jniyah Bosher and Qua'leya Coleman (Virginia Randolph); Kaleb Anderson and Miyahna Clayton (Varina High School).

GRASP was co-founded in 1983 by Senator Walter Stosch of Henrico and Dr. Ray Gargiulo. GRASP advisors work one day per week at each school. Appointments, which are free of charge, can be made through the schools’ counseling offices.
