Godwin student earns National Merit Scholarship

Ethan M. Schaefer of Glen Allen, a senior at Mills Godwin H.S., was recently awarded a National Merit Scholarship from the University of Oklahoma.
Schaefer is one of 3,500 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities, announced as part of the third National Merit Scholar release in 2019. Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
Earlier this spring, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) named recipients of corporate-sponsored awards and winners of National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Additional recipients of college-sponsored awards will be announced July 15.
