Glen Allen to host 13-year-old Babe Ruth World Series for second straight year

For the second straight year and sixth time since 2007, Henrico County and the Glen Allen Athletic Association will host the 13-year-old Babe Ruth Baseball World Series, from Aug. 11-19, at Glen Allen Stadium at RF&P Park.

Ten teams, including the host team from Glen Allen, will participate in the tournament, which is expected to draw 350 players and their families from throughout the nation.

The teams are bracketed into two divisions, with each team playing the other four in its group in pool play to establish seedings for the single-elimination portion of the event.

In pool play, Glen Allen will face Greeley-Evans, Colorado, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.; Eagle Pass, Texas, Aug. 13 at 4 p.m.; Janesville, Wisconsin Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.; and Oahu, Hawaii Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.

Henrico and GAYAA also hosted the Babe Ruth Baseball 13-Year-Old World Series in 2007, 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2022.
