FXA Sports, 804 Softball announce merger

Adult recreational sports league operate FXA Sports and Central Virginia coed softball league 804 Softball announced Feb. 13 that they are merging.
“This merger is about growing and enhancing the softball experience for players in Richmond and beyond,” said Tyler McKee, head of growth at FXA Sports, which is based in Northern Virginia. “Patrick, Ryan, and Tyson have done an incredible job creating a strong, engaged community, and we’re excited to build on that foundation by offering more leagues, additional facilities, and an even greater overall experience for players."
Plans for 2025 and beyond include expanded league offerings, increased field access and additional player perks, according to FXA Sports.
Existing 804 Softball leagues will continue under the same name and
structure, but organizers are planning additional divisions, tournaments, and league offerings.
“This is a win for adult softball in Central Virginia,” said Ryan Mitscherlich, 804 Softball's co-founder. “[Other co-founders] Tyson, Patrick, and I are excited to partner with FXA Sports, who share our commitment to quality leagues and exceptional player experience. This merger ensures 804 Softball continues to grow and thrive.”
