Funding available for COVID-19 funeral expenses

Funding to assist with funeral expenses for a death that likely was the result of COVID-19 is available for families.
Anyone who paid funeral expenses after Jan. 20, 2020 for someone whose death may have been caused or was caused by COVID-19 may be eligible for financial assistance of as much as $9,000 per funeral.
To apply, call the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Authority’s dedicated call center at 844-684-6333 (TTY 800-462-7585), Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST. Online applications will not be accepted. Applications may be made for financial assistance for multiple funerals.
