Free college financial aid information sessions scheduled Sept. 7-27

GRASP (GReat Aspirations Scholarship Program, Inc.) will host several financial aid sessions in September that are free and open to the public. The sessions are scheduled for the following dates and times in Henrico:

• Sept. 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Libbie Mill Library, 2100 Libbie Lake East Street; the program will be “College Financial Aid 101” and attendees will be able to have their questions answered by one of several experts.
• Sept. 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Twin Hickory Library, 5001 Twin Hickory Road; the program will be “On Track for College:  Middle School Edition,” and attendees will learn about what they should be doing to ensure they and their students are on the right track for college. Experts also will be in attendance to answer questions.
• Sept. 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Tuckahoe Library, 1901 Starling Drive; the program will be “College Financial Aid 101” and attendees will be able to have their questions answered by one of several experts.
• Sept. 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Fairfield Library, 1401 North Laburnum Avenue; the program will be “College Financial Aid 101” and attendees will be able to have their questions answered by one of several experts.

GRASP, a college access nonprofit organization, was co-founded in 1983 by Senator Walter Stosch and Dr. Ray Gargiulo. GRASP advisors work one day per week at 110 schools throughout Virginia.
