The $2,200 grant will support the pantry’s mission of providing food for people and families in need. It is part of the foundation’s mission to alleviate food insecurity across 10 states.

“We are seeing more and more working families in need of extra support, and we are grateful to the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation for helping us meet this increasing need,” said Jennifer Cunningham, CCC's vice president of Mission Advancement.

CCC's Dibert Food Pantry has been serving the community for more than 30 years. It's among the services the organization provides to the community, a list that also includes adoption services, developmental disabilities support, foster care services, homeless services and refugee resettlement services, among many others.

The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation was established in 2001 and awards grants to organizations dedicated to helping local communities across the nation provide food for those in need. It has awarded more than $18.1 million in grants since it was established.
