Far West End retail center sold

The Shops at Wellesley in Henrico’s Far West End have a new owner.
Liberty Investment Partners of Raleigh, North Carolina purchased the 42,318-square-foot retail center on Lauderdale Drive for $10.1 million Aug. 17 from Capstone Advisors. The center is home to 18 tenants, including Montessori Kid’s Universe, Zoom Room, and Corner Barre. It was 94% leased at the time of the sale.
The sale comes nearly 10 years to the date on which the center last changed hands, when an affiliate of Capstone purchased it for $7.42 million from Park Terrace LTD Partnership.
The property and retail center were assessed at a total value of $7.994 million in January.
