Family Café planned Oct. 1 for preschooler parents/caregivers

, a nonprofit organization that collaborates with the early childhood system in Central Virginia, is launching a series of Family Café events for parents, guardians and/or caregivers of children, ages birth to five. These Family Café events are designed to help families across the region build relationships, learn more about early childhood care and understand childcare gaps and needs in the community.

A Family Café will be held Oct. 1 for parents and guardians in Richmond, Hanover and Henrico.  The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oak Avenue Complex (formerly Highland Springs H.S.).

The event is free, but registration is required. Parents and guardians of children ages birth to five are encouraged to attend. Each Family Café lasts two hours, and families will be compensated with a $50 gift card at the end of the event.
