Table of Contents

Faith leaders and community members will come together Oct. 11 for the first in a series of "preach-in" events focused on what they consider to be abusive practices of payday and title lenders in Virginia.

The Fair Lending Preach-In will be held at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11 on the public sidewalk in front of the Advance America location at 4501 Williamsburg Road, Suite W.

Reverend Rodney Hunter of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Richmond will speak against unfair lending practices. Faith leaders are urging the Virginia legislature to act in 2020 to address the payday and title lending market.
