Fairfield Middle School will hold its fourth-annual "All-About-Me Day Community Festival" Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature games, music, student performances, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and more and is open to the public.

Middle and high school students can register for the basketball tournament and find their prom and dance attire at a free “Fairfield Formal Boutique.” Attendees under 18 will receive free game tickets, and all attendees will be entered to win raffle prizes and door prizes.

The event will take place on the school’s campus at 5121 Nine Mile Road and will include:

 • an inflatable obstacle course and double slide;

• a DJ;

• food trucks for meal and drink purchases;

• free ice cream treats from noon to 2 p.m. for attendees under 18;

• student performances, including the “Springers of Distinction” step team, “Fierce Falcons” cheer team and Royal Elite Academy dance and cheer teams;

• raffle prizes and door prizes;

• local small businesses and student vendors offering unique items and services for purchase;

• giveaways, including clothing, books and hygiene items;

• Esports activities;

• free haircuts and styles for attendees under 18 (hair must be freshly washed, dried and free of products);

• free face-painting and fingernail-painting for attendees under 18;

• games and prizes;

• community organizations offering information and resources for families.

 The 3-on-3 basketball tournament is open to all middle and high school students, regardless of school or school division. Space is limited and registration is recommended. Participants may register on the morning of the event if space is still available. Tournament prizes include medals, gift cards and prize packs.

The Fairfield Formal Boutique will offer lightly used formal dresses, men’s and boys’ shirts, and other items for school proms and dances. Students must be present and try on items, and appropriate underwear is required.

The event is presented by Fairfield Middle School, Communities in Schools, Henrico County Public Schools Division of Family and Community Engagement, and the Henrico Education Foundation, with help from community sponsors.
