Fairfield meeting Sept. 21 to spotlight voting, new police chief

Fairfield District Supervisor Frank J. Thornton will hold a Constituent Meeting on Monday, Sept. 21 to discuss procedures for voting in the Nov. 3 general election and to introduce new Police Chief Eric English.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the gym of the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 N. Laburnum Avenue, and shown live on the Henrico County Government channel on YouTube. Face coverings and temperature checks will be required of those attending in person.
Thornton will be joined by General Registrar Mark Coakley, who will discuss voting by absentee ballot and answer questions about the upcoming election. English will share his vision for the Police Division.
In addition, Thornton is exploring the possibility of holding future Fairfield District meetings with sessions at 1 and 6 p.m. Constituents are encouraged to provide feedback at dav127@henrico.us on whether they would welcome having an additional session earlier in the day.
