Fairfield meeting Jan. 25 to highlight Henrico’s boards, sports and entertainment authority

Henrico Board of Supervisors Chairman and Fairfield District Supervisor Frank Thornton will hold a Fairfield Constituent Meeting Wednesday, Jan. 25 to explain the roles of Henrico County’s various boards and commissions as well as the new Henrico Sports and Entertainment Authority.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 North Laburnum Avenue.
Dennis Bickmeier, executive director of the Henrico Sports and Entertainment Authority, will discuss its work to promote sports tourism and manage various public-private facilities, including the Henrico Sports and Events Center, which is under construction at Virginia Center Commons.
