Elephant Insurance offers discount for customers who work from home

Henrico-based Elephant Insurance announced Thursday that it will offer a discount to customers who work from home.

Policyholders and their spouses who work from home and drive less are eligible to receive the discount, depending upon the number of days they drive to work and their occupations. To apply, customers can fill out an online quote form or speak directly with an agent. Elephant’s Work from Home Discount does not require any tracking device to be used by the customer.

“We understand customers are seeking flexible ways to manage their car insurance,” said Alberto Schiavon, Elephant CEO. “This discount was created to acknowledge the change that has occurred to many jobs today. If you are currently working from home and driving less, we want to help you save even more on your car insurance.”

Discount eligibility began Aug. 19 in Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio and Texas. Current customers will have it available for policy renewals starting in those states Oct. 19.
