ECPI University earns top ranking from Military Times

ECPI University recently earned a top ranking nationally from the Military Times. The publication ranked ECPI the No. 1 career and technical college for military veterans and students.

More than 500 colleges took part in this year’s survey. ECPI's category also included community college and four-year, career-focused colleges and universities.

“This selection demonstrates that what we do to support our military and veteran students is exactly what we should be doing and that these students are succeeding at the highest levels and finding meaningful careers when they graduate,” said ECPI University Executive Director of Military Education Bill Brown.

Survey editors for the Military Times evaluate many factors that help make colleges and universities a good fit for service members, military veterans and their families. Colleges and universities are asked to disclose academic outcome and input data, describe many aspects of veteran culture on campus and document a wide array of services, special policies, accommodations and financial incentives offered to students with military ties.

Military Times officials also factor in data from the Veterans Affairs and Defense departments, as well as three Education Department sources: the IPEDS Data Center, College Scorecard data and the Cohort Default Rate Database.

“I am asked continually by our senior leaders, faculty and staff if we are doing all we can to support our military and veteran students,” said Brown. “This focus and concern proves to me that ECPI University will always do what it takes to ensure these students have the resources they need to reach their goals.”
