For the third consecutive year, ECPI University has been ranked number one in the nation among career and technical colleges and universities for veterans and military service members.

Military Times annually publishes a ranking of schools based on the results of its survey, which it says is a comprehensive school-by-school assessment of veteran and military student services and rates of academic achievement.

Best Colleges 2021, an editorially independent news project, evaluates variables that shape academic success among military and veteran students. The Virginia-based college with two campuses in Henrico offers several scholarships for military members and their spouses. About 27% of ECPI students are veterans, according to Military Times.

“Being selected No. 1 by Best for Veterans means so much because it shows the way we work with our military and veteran students and the programs that we have to support them are working and helping them to succeed,” said ECPI University Executive Director of Military Education Bill Brown in a prepared statement. “We have so many great military and veteran students and the energy they bring to our campuses and classrooms is always evident; they add so much to our university.
