Duluth Trading Company will open a Short Pump location – its second Virginia store and 62nd overall – March 5, the company announced recently.
The store will be located in the West Broad Marketplace Shopping Center at 12260 West Broad Street. The company sells men's and women's casual wear, workwear, apothecary and accessories.
The company will host a week of events leading to the store's opening and continuing afterward.
On Sunday, March 1, it will host a VIP shopping night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at which customers can enjoy exclusive promotions. On March 4, it will host a lumberjack show at Hardywood Brewery West Creek from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring speed-carving and giveaways.
Grand opening events March 5 will include a 9:45 a.m. flannel ribbon cutting with local officials and free pizza from River City Wood Fire Truck at 10:30 a.m., as well as custom mobile screen printings from Studio Two Three Truck and food from Candy Valley Cake Co. At 10:30 a.m. and noon, a professional lumberjack show will feature head-to-head axe throwing, single buck and underhand chop competitions.
From March 6-8, the store will give away prizes, including gift cards and merchandise, to the first 100 customers in line each day beginning at 10 a.m.
The store's normal hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
