Drug Takeback Day collections scheduled at 5 Henrico locations Oct. 27

Do you have expired or unwanted prescription drugs that you want to dispose? You can do so safely and for free Oct. 27 at five locations in Henrico as part of National Prescription Drug Takeback Day.
State officials hope to collect drugs – especially prescription opioids – that might otherwise end up in the wrong hands or contaminate the water supply if flushed down toilets.
Collection spots in Henrico – all operating from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – include:
• Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 North Laburnum Avenue;
• Henrico Training Center, 7721 East Parham Road;
• Virginia State Police Division I Headquarters, 9300 Brook Road, Glen Allen;
• Varina Area Library, 1875 New Market Road;
• Wegman's, 12200 Wegmans Boulevard
