Democrats set date for caucus to reorganize

The Henrico County Democratic Committee will hold its reorganization caucus Dec. 11. The event will form the committee for the biennium of 2018 and 2019. It will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Henrico County Government Center in the Administrative Board Room, 4301 East Parham Road. The committee also will establish its membership pursuant to the state plan.
Candidates for election to the 2018/2019 Henrico Democratic Committee may file declarations of candidacy before the start of the Dec. 11 caucus. A membership fee of $30 is required, but there is no filing fee.
Applications will be available at the caucus location. The doors to the caucus will be opened at 7 p.m., and filing will occur between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Those in line at 7:30 p.m. will be permitted to complete the check-in process and will be permitted to participate.
Applications are available on the Henrico Democrats website at www.henricodemocrats.org and may be pre-filed by mail.
Dues waivers may be requested by contacting the current Henrico Democrats Chair at henricocountydemocrats@gmail.com or, at the time of filing the membership application at the caucus.
