The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen has announced its 2018-2019 season schedule of performances, which will begin Sept. 7 with the 2nd Stage event "An Evening of Bluegrass with The Commonwealth Bluegrass Band."

The Center Season performance series returns beginning Sept. 19 with folk music from The Kingston Trio.

The Capitol Steps, an audience favorite, will bring a unique blend of music and political comedy to the Sara Belle November Stage Oct. 25 to 28. Additional highlights include:

• VA Rep on Tour’s Sleeping Beauty (Oct. 13);

• A new venture with Henrico Theatre Company: Ring of Fire – The Johnny Cash Musical (Feb. 22 to Mar. 3);

• Richmond’s Finest, featuring Susan Greenbaum and the Richmond Symphony (Mar. 22);

Center Season tickets start as low as $12.

Highlights of the 2nd Stage season, which presents live music monthly on Fridays, include:

• An Evening of Songs & Stories with Georgia Rogers Farmer (Oct. 19);

• An Evening of Holiday Favorites with Offering (Dec. 7).

Dinner and a complete bar/beverages are available for purchase on the night of the show. Subscriptions to four or more shows are available for $15 per show. Otherwise, individual tickets are $17 in advance and $21 at the door.

Subscriptions are on sale now, and single tickets will be available for purchase beginning July 9.

Special events throughout the season are often free and include:

• the 10th Annual Bluegrass Jam Apr. 13 (donations suggested);

• the Annual Dia de los Muertos celebration with the Latin Ballet of Virginia (Nov. 4);

• an artisan-crafted Festival of Trees on display Dec. 1 to Jan. 2.
