‘Congo Masks’ to visit Short Pump

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts will celebrate the opening of “Congo Masks: Masterpieces from Central Africa” with interactive pop-up art events across the state featuring mask-making activities and live performances.

VMFA will stop by the Short Pump Pals meeting at Short Pump Town Center Jan. 8 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. “Congo Masks,” on display through Feb. 24, features more than 130 rare masks from the Congo Basin and represents the creative expression of more than 40 different Congolese cultural groups.
