The Community Chili Cook Off on Nov. 12 at the Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church raised $4,000 for FeedMore. More than 200 people attended the event.

“Our community joined together and created synergy,” said Janet James, pastor of the Gayton Kirk.

Church members, other local churches, and local businesses came together to “enable other people to have food,” said James.  “It was a wonderful example of God’s economics.”

"I decided to participate because it was the perfect opportunity to support the Kirk as well as FeedMore," said Sharon Adams, one of the chili chefs. "FeedMore's programs on the local as well as national level provide to the most vulnerable of clients.”
