ComedySportz Richmond Theater will reopen its doors to the public Saturday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m. The theater has not hosted in-person shows since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

“We are thrilled to be back in our theater and can’t wait to laugh with audiences in person again,” said artistic director Dave Gau. “As we celebrate our 25th year in Richmond, nothing seems more fitting than returning to the stage and interacting with our loyal fans. The ability to bring joy and laughter through our shows, camps and classes as the longest running comedy theater in Richmond is a huge part of what inspires us, and we are so excited to move forward with even more new creative endeavors throughout the months ahead.”

ComedySportz matches feature two teams of professional improviers competing for laughs and points, with a referee keeping score. Every show is different – the players, the games, and the audience suggestions. The
audience judges the match and ultimately decides the winners and losers.

ComedySportz Richmond Theater is located at 8906-H W. Broad Street. Shows are weekly on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and advance tickets are available online at cszrva.com.
