Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donates 40,000 pounds of food to Feed More

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently donated 40,000 pounds of food to Feed More, on behalf of Day to Serve.
The donation was part of a total of 840,000 pounds of food donated by the church so far this year to food pantries across the state of Virginia. Feed More provides food to those in need throughout the Richmond region, including Henrico County.
Day to Serve is an annual initiative that is designed to motivate people to get involved in service events each year. It began in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
To serve its 100,000 members in the state of Virginia, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is building a temple at the corner of Staples Mill Road and Mountain Road in Glen Allen.
