Commonwealth Catholic Charities, a nonprofit in its centennial year of service, is opening an art gallery in Henrico. The gallery features a permanent collection of oil paintings by Richmond native and social activist Nora Houston, along with paintings, photography, jewelry, and textiles created by CCC friends, staff and clients from foster care, refugee resettlement, senior services, and supportive housing.

The Expressions of Hope gallery opening celebration will be held Sept. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at CCC’s headquarters at 1601 Rolling Hills Drive.  Food trucks, beverages and family activities will be available.
