CAT Theatre weighing options to continue productions

CAT Theatre – which earlier this month announced that it would cease operations Oct. 31 because it could not reach agreement to stay in its current venue – may not be closing, after all. Theater officials have received "an outpouring of concern" from patrons and others in the theater community since the announcement, they said, and will host a town hall meeting Friday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. to discuss possible options with interested community members.
The meeting will be held at CAT, 319 North Wilkinson Road in Henrico.
Theater officials have received suggestions of possible new venues but cannot consider those without significant help – both in volunteer and financial form – they wrote in an e-mail to supporters today.
