Capital Trail extension through Dorey Park opens

Henrico County officials Thursday officially opened an extension of the Virginia Capital Trail through Dorey Park. The 10-foot-wide path runs along the eastern side of the park for about three-quarters of a mile and connects to the Capital Trail.
"It expands access to the entire park and gives additional space for pedestrians and cyclists to safely exercise," Varina District Supervisor Tyrone Nelson wrote on Twitter. "A win for the citizens!"
