On May 9 and 10, the Cap2Cap bike ride fundraiser presented by Dominion Energy will celebrate its 20th ride along the Virginia Capital Trail, a paved pathway stretching between Williamsburg and Richmond.
The family-friendly cycling event offers several distance options, beginning with a seven-mile family fun ride and topping out at rides of more than 100 miles. Participants not only will enjoy scenic views of farmlands, forests, and river crossings but also a fully supported course, stocked rest stops, and flexible, open-start format.
Riders also receive an event shirt, lunch and beverage ticket, and an exclusive 20th-anniversary Cap2Cap gift bag. Commemorative cycling jerseys and other limited edition gear will be available for purchase.
Twentieth anniversary Cap2Cap celebrations will take place May 9 at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in James City County and May 10 at Dorey Park in Henrico. Festivities will include party zones with music, vendor fairs featuring local artisans, and skill-share sessions.
