The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen launched its annual Handmade for the Holidays Passport program Oct. 18, encouraging shoppers to support local artists and businesses during the holiday season through Dec. 15. During that timeframe, participants can visit five unique shops in the Richmond region, collecting punches on their passports at each stop, then return the passport to the last stop to be entered to win a prize package worth $150.

Participating shops include CACGA's online gift shop, Stuff RVA, 9 Muses, Pop of Confetti, and Re-Funkit.

“This is an incredible collaboration between local businesses meant to raise awareness of our shops but also the immense talent found in the Richmond region," said Lauren Hall, visual arts manager at CACGA. The initiative aims to highlight the diverse range of handmade goods available locally, from gourmet gifts and handcrafted jewelry to art and homeware.
