U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg will be interviewed during a live taping of the public radio show Full Disclosure on Dec. 1 at the University of Richmond.

Hosted by Roben Farzad — journalist-in-residence at the Robins School of Business — Full Disclosure is a weekly show on NPR member-station Radio IQ that features conversations about the business of culture, policy, markets, media, and a range of other topics.

This event is currently sold out, but those interested in attending are invited to join the standby line one hour before the event, as seats will often become available the night of the show. For ticket information, click here.

“I love to host iconoclasts, people I’d love to meet over lunch,” says Farzad. “Authors, newsmakers, people with uncommon backstories. I hope the audience will learn something. Laugh. Cry. Be together. I love it when I look out into the audience and see not a single person on a phone.”

Buttigieg serves as the 19th Secretary of Transportation. The first openly gay person confirmed to serve in a president’s Cabinet, Secretary Buttigieg previously served two terms as mayor of his hometown, South Bend, Indiana.

“Our partnership with Full Disclosure gives our students access to a wide range of internationally relevant impact makers,” said Mickey Quiñones, dean of the business school. “Roben’s masterful interview style also provides a unique learning experience for our audiences. I am excited to see where our collaboration takes us.”
