Henrico Federal Credit Union recently named Jeanne Dotson as its vice president of finance. She will succeed April Lucy when she retires at the end of the year after 11 years in the position. Dotson has most recently served as president/CEO of Chesterfield Federal Credit Union and previously worked at Del-One Federal Credit Union and 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union. Dotson is a graduate of Wilmington College and Colorado Technical University and has more than 25 years of credit union experience in total.


Colliers International recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Medical Home Plus Inc. – leased 390 SF at 1504 Santa Rosa Road (Megan Sullivan and John Carpin represented the landlord); Cognicion LLC – leased 6,986 SF at 1510 East Parham Road (Doug Wilkins, Rebecca Barricklow and Joe Marchetti represented the landlord); Motorola Solutions, Inc. – renewed its lease of 5,314 SF at 1732 East Parham Road (Doug Wilkins, Rebecca Barricklow and Joe Marchetti represented the landlord); City Electric Supply Company – renewed its lease of 8,150 SF at 1277 Mountain Road (Jimmy Martin and Malcolm Randolph represented the tenant); Jason B. Johnson – leased 1,250 SF at 2081 Dabney Road (Zach Roski and Tom Vozenilek represented the tenant); All Secured Home Health – leased 708 SF at 8001 Franklin Farms Drive (Catherine Walker, Matt Anderson and David Wilkins represented the landlord); Warren Whitney – renewed his lease of 3,226 SF at 7231 Forest Avenue (Wood Thornton represented the tenant).


Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital recently was recognized by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners and International Lactation Consultant Association for excellence in lactation care. St. Mary’s received the IBCLC Care Award in recognition of staffing professionals who hold the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant certification and providing a lactation program for breastfeeding families. In order to receive this recognition, Bon Secours had to demonstrate that it provides training for nursing, medical, and other staff members who care for breastfeeding families and implement special projects that promote, protect and support breastfeeding and the lactation consultant profession.

ValleyStar Credit Union recently named Mike Warrell as its new chief executive officer. Warrell previously served as president and CEO of Solano First Federal Credit Union in Fairfield, Calif., which merged into Valley Strong Credit Union. He also served as vice president of business development, assistant vice president of member service, and president and owner of a lease savings company. He holds a BFA from Plymouth State College, a MBA Certificate, Innovation Engineering from the University of Maine, and is a graduate of the Filene i3 Program. In 2015, he was awarded CEO of North America by the National Association Federal Credit Unions.


The University of Richmond has earned accreditation by the Emergency Management Accreditation Program. Only eight higher education institutions currently have earned accreditation. The University of Richmond achieved emergency management accreditation by demonstrating its compliance with 66 industry-recognized standards and completing a peer-review virtual assessment by a team of EMAP-trained assessors. The University’s program identifies and addresses risks to the campus, including fire, flood, natural disasters such as hurricanes, and other risks such as cybersecurity threats. The University plans to participate in the EMAP annual report process to prepare for the reaccreditation assessment in five years.


BB BHF Stores, LLC d/b/a Buddy’s Home Furnishings recently leased 4,800 SF located at 3099 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Henrico County. Robert Marshall and Rebecca von Meister of Taylor Long Properties represented the landlord.
